Me and my heartbreaker!!!

Most people are blessed to have one Valentine but I got two of them. The littlest one helped me bake brownies for the potluck we are having after Church tomorrow. He was such a good little helper tonight. I love him in his little apron and hat. Adorable! He is so excited because he has a wiggly tooth that keeps getting wigglier (not sure that is a word) by the day. I am pretty excited for him too even though he is getting too big, too fast. Time has really flown since he has born and it is hard to imagine life without him. He will be my little Valentine forever in my heart. I am getting all emotional just writing this.

So I have had this heart pan for about five years or so that is brand new because I just really do not bake all that much. I love brownies though so I made an extra pan of them for myself. The boys don't eat them so I can eat the other pan all by myself. Usually takes me about 3 days or so.

P.S. I am trying to grow side bangs that is why my bangs are a little funny looking.

You are a SUPERSTAR!!!!

My son was amazing at his last Basketball game. He scored 6 points, but what was really amazing was his defense. He was guarding the other team so good. He didn't care if they were a bigger kid or not. I was so proud of him. If he is this good at Itty Bitty Basketball who knows what next year will bring with Pee Wee Basketball.

Big, Medium and Small

This is the puppy I got my husband for his birthday in August. The top picture is her about a week ago. I think she is about 20lbs or a little more. She is a German Shephard/Yellow Lab so I know she is going to be a big dog, but I am still amazed at how fast she is growing. I think she gains a couple pounds a week.

The second picture I took in September when she is sitting on the picnic table. Isn't that the cutest thing.

The last two pictures are from when I surprised my husband with his birthday present. His face first registered shock and then he got this big goofy grin on his face. Her name is Lady and she was only 8 weeks when I got her and only weighed 8lbs.

So she is not even 4 months old yet and is so big. She really gives new meaning to the saying Growing Like a Weed. I shouldn't complain because she is a really good dog and very smart. She is doing very good with going potty outside too. She hardly ever has an accident.

The Great Pumpkin Patch

I love going to the Great Pumpkin Patch. We go every year. I enjoy it as much as my son does. Our Pumpkin Patch was visited by Martha Stewart's people. She even had one of the owners on her show and they did a big magazine spread on it. It is fun to look at all the different Pumpkins and squashes. They even were selling seeds this year so I bought my husband some. He is going to grow them this spring so we just may have our own tiny pumpkin patch next year.

The last picture is of the largest pumpkin which weighs 901 pounds. Wow!!! We even got to do the wagon ride this year. I can't wait to go again next year.

Our New Pet!!

HaHa!! No thank you. I never want a pet that is so big that it could eat me. The close up picture almost makes the alligator look fake. Trust me it was real. I think they were hot so they were not moving too much. I love to take pictures at the Zoo there are so many great subjects.

I love my Canon Rebel!

I really love my camera!! I was standing on our deck and zoomed in on this Cardinal that was was on a very high branch in our tree that is in the backyard. We have a good size backyard too. This tree is way in the back. It is so amazing being able to zoom in an see a Cardinal in so much detail. Did I mention that I love my camera?! Looking at God's creation makes you realize how special we are. The sky is so blue in the Summer time.

I looked up a little info about Cardinals, since I really don't know anything about them.

The Northern Cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis) or Redbird is a North American bird in the cardinal family. It is found from southern Canada through the eastern United States from Maine to Texas and south through Mexico to northern Guatemala and Belize. It is found in woodlands, gardens, shrublands, and swamps.
The Northern Cardinal is a mid-sized songbird with a body length of 21–23 centimeters (8.3–9 in). It has a distinctive crest on the head and a mask on the face which is black in the male and gray in the female. It displays sexual dimorphism in its coloration; the male is a vibrant red, while the female is a dull red-brown shade. The Northern Cardinal is mainly granivorous, but also feeds on insects and fruit. The male behaves territorially, marking out his territory with song. During courtship, the male feeds seed to the female beak-to-beak. A clutch of three to four eggs is laid, and two to four clutches are produced each year. It was once prized as a pet, but its sale as cage birds is now banned in the United States by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918.

Our 3 little guests!

We have some special guest staying on our light by our garage. It is so amazing to look at a bird's nest. Bird's are very creative in what they use to make a nest they find all kinds of branches, straw, trash or anything else they can find. We had a few eggs fall unto the concrete but these three little birds made it. They look so serious and stern in this picture. They are probably wondering where breakfast is. :)
