Still working...

Sometimes it is really hard to get a good picture of these checkbook covers. There always seems to be a glare when I go to take the picture. I really would like to take an actual class to learn how to take better pictures. I see lots of Internet classes but I would think it would be easier for me to be in an actual class.

I am still working on making Checkbook covers for my Craft Fairs. I am always looking for new places to set up a table so let me know if you have a Craft Fair I don't know about.

All product is Close to my Heart except for the cover. I used Bella Paper and Stickease. Shop now. I buy them in bulk so if you need any or think this would be a fun workshop let me know.

Got money?

I had paper left from making my Celebration Card Kit so I decided to make this checkbook cover. I do several Craft Shows in October-November and these checkbook covers are always a favorite. If you are in the area email me so that I can't let you know where they are. I have been doing some of them for 3 years or more so it is fun to see the same people every year. It is really great to have repeat customers. Thanks to all of you who come out and support a home-based business. I really appreciate it.

The sentiments are from the Friendship Word Puzzle. All items are Close to my Heart and can be purchase on my website at luciag.myctmh.com.

...magic moments

This layout was created by my second upline Karen who gave it to me. She used the Silhouette Paper and the Make It Count stamp set. The picture of my husband and I was taken at a friend's wedding a few years ago. Attending weddings always reminds me of our wedding.

A flower for you

I used White Daisy Cardstock as my base. I stamped the branches with Desert Sand Ink. I stamped Dream in Cocoa Ink. I stamped the flowers with Sorbet Ink on a seperate paper and then cut them out. I sponged the edges of the flowers with Desert Sand Ink. I put Copper Bitty Brads through the middles of the flowers. I used glue dots to hold them in place. Very simple to do.

Dreams...

The color combo I used for this card is Chocolate, Petal, Creme Brulee and Cocoa. I am really liking the Petal and Chocolate colors together. I used White Daisy Cardstock as the base. Petal and Cocoa are the other 2 cardstocks I used. I random stamped the flowers in Petal and Creme Brulee, the branches stamp are in Chocolate. All stamps are from the stamp set Aspiration. I used 3-D Foam on the flower by the sentiment.

What a Perfect Day!

This is a 9x9 layout using on of my all time favorite Close to my Heart's Paper Pack Perfect Day. I used Perfect Day Level 2 Paper, Perfect Day Stickease, Clear Sparkles, and I went around the Layout with a black pen to give it a little more detail. I also used the edge distresser on the layout to give the layout a more distressed look. I used 3-D Foam on some of the stickease to give the layout a little dimension.

Someone to hold...

The colors look a little light in this picture. I used Emporium Level 2 Paper Pack and the matching Emporium Stickease. The Level 2 Paper Packs come with 22 sheets of b&t paper and cardstock. The Stickease have two sheets in them that coordinate with the paper pack. I used my brayer with Sweet Leaf Ink to do the edges of the Colonial White cardstock. I really like this technique on my scrapbook layouts.

These pictures our of my husband and I getting our pictures taken for the Church Directory. I really liked how they turned out. The photographer that night was really good which is always nice. He told us some really corny jokes. I love pictures so I of course wanted them all. I really struggle with not buying every single pose.

Paradise is where I want to be!!

The Memory Keeper Box was shown to us at Close to my Heart's Convention last August in Orlando. Let me just say I fell in love with the box. There is just so many things that I like to save that will not fit into my scrapbooks. I have made boxes to store my Christmas cards. Well, in the new Summer Idea Book there is this new paper called Moon Doggie that just screams Vacation to me. The stamp set I used is Extreme Happiness. I used Holiday buttons for the corners with Bamboo waxy flax tied through the buttons. I don't know if you have ever used waxy flax before but it is so easy to work with. It cuts easy, bends easy, ties easy, threads easy and more. Oh, and it lasts a long time. Close to my Heart has 9 different colors to choose from.

I also covered the inside of the box to give it a more finished look. The box is white so it looks nice inside even if you do not cover it.

I thought this box would be great to store postcards and other little souvenirs that you want to keep but will not fit in your scrapbook album.
